The BSB Golf Day

The BSB Golf Day was started in 1990 with the intention of being a social event for the members of the BSB and it has proved to be very successful, with good attendances over the years. In the early years the BSB Golf Day was held at the Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Golf Club near Milton Keynes but in recent years it has been held at the Belfry and played over the Brabazon course using a 'shotgun start' format, so that everyone starts and finishes at the same time. In 2011 we moved to the Arden Championship course at the Forrest of Arden Hotel and Country Club and the course and facilities were wide aclaimed by all the players. The 2012 Golf Day will therefore also be held at the Arden Championship course, the date being 28th May.

Two trophies are competed for at the BSB Golf Day: the BSB Trophy, presented to the Society by Past Chairman Keith Shaw, for the best Stableford score by a BSB member; and the Visiter's Trophy, presented to the Society by Past Chairman Ross Ferguson, for the best Stableford score by a visitor. Team, best scratch score and other prizes are also awarded.

The 2012 BSB Golf Day will be held at the Forrest of Arden Hotel and Country Club Arden Championship course on Monday 28th May, with the format again being a shotgun start so everyone finishes at the same time, and a presentation of prizes dinner in the evening.
